“The adventure of life is to learn”
William Arthur Ward
Mountain Wilderness Survival was founded by former Royal Marines Commando, ‘Rab’ Williams, who has travelled globally, gaining further specialist skills and knowledge to make MWS a well suited provider for outdoor pursuits.

“I have operated in the North Sea as part of a maritime search and rescue crew, radio communications officer for the offshore industry, and a chartered field archaeologist. I have carried out freelance work for a number of years and provided field assistant services to TV film crews out in the Moroccan desert. In 2017 I was privileged to work a summer season in Antarctica alongside the British Antarctic Survey, which was a truly unique experience”.
