Company founder

Mountain Wilderness Survival was founded by Edinburgh based Rab  Williams, who has travelled globally, gaining further specialist skills and knowledge to make MWS a well suited provider for outdoor pursuits.

“My skills and experience stem from the North Sea as part of a maritime Search and Rescue crew, radio communications officer for the offshore and aviation industry, and a chartered field archaeologist. I have been a freelance instructor for a number of years and provided field assistant services to TV film crews out in the Moroccan desert. In 2017 I was privileged to work in Antarctica alongside the British Antarctic Survey, which was a truly unique experience”.
