Ben Nevis is the UK’s highest mountain peak. At 1345 metres, Ben Nevis is situated at the Western end of the Grampian mountains and is known for its changeable weather with snow right up into August. For this reason, the need to hire a guide can’t be underestimated.
The Highlands offers an array of popular towns and lochs to visit; locally is the famous town of Fort William. Fort William hosts a great selection of places to stay and plenty of excellent places to eat. If driving to Fort William from the south, ensure you plan time for photo stops as you wind your way through Glencoe.
